What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a remote junior Data Engineering role where I can build production data pipelines and deepen my experience with modern open-source streaming, orchestration, and distributed data tools.

At Safaricom PLC, I migrate and modernize large-scale data warehouse platforms, including a 600TB Oracle Exadata migration completed with zero data loss and minimal downtime. I also built an automated ILM solution that improved overall warehouse performance by 50%.

I build and support ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL, Python, Informatica, and Apache Airflow, and have migrated 40 critical warehouse pipelines from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC. My earlier BI work at M-Kopa and Virtual City included Power BI reporting, analytics tools, dashboards, and customer insights for supply chain, revenue, and retention decisions.

I'm transitioning into Data Engineering and recently built a real-time cryptocurrency pipeline using Airflow, Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra. I'm focused on bringing my data warehouse foundation into a production engineering environment.
