What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a school environment where I can support students through IEP-driven instruction, meaningful data collection, and positive behavior reinforcement—while also contributing hands-on lessons and mindfulness programming with collaborative staff and families.

I’m a creative and versatile Special Education teacher with 8+ years of experience, focused on individual student needs across academic and emotional development. I design and implement hands-on lessons tailored to diverse learning abilities.

I’m excellent in building strong communication and positive behavior reinforcement, while maintaining a rich learning environment. I’m adept at implementing IEP goals into daily activities and supporting students through thoughtful, student-centered instruction.

Since 2017, I’ve worked at the NYC Department of Education as a Special Education Teacher (with responsibilities that include developing and adhering to Individual Educational Plans, monitoring student behavior, and using Behavior Intervention Plans). I also collect and interpret academic and behavioral data, administer state mandated tests, and create instructional materials based on each student’s learning style.

In 2023–present, I’ve continued my work as an Early Intervention Specialist (SI) as self-employed, while also facilitating mindfulness programs and curriculum aligned to NYS standards. I collaborate with families, communicate student progress, and support classroom staff through guidance, direction, and staff facilitation.
