What I'm looking for

I’m looking for opportunities where I can keep working in lab-based plasma/biomaterials research, expanding my experimental and characterization skills while contributing through careful analysis and collaboration.

I’m an undergraduate research assistant in the Hawker Lab at CSU, Fresno, working on plasma chemistry with a focus on plasma-treated biomaterials. I’ve run independent and collaborative projects involving hydrophobic recovery after aging, essential-oil plasma precursors for wound dressings, and N2 plasma-modified 3D-printed silk films.

I characterize plasma-modified materials using water contact angle goniometry with KRÜSS ADVANCE, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy via CASA XPS, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy for elemental composition. Through proposing and planning research, I’ve built strong habits around experimental design, data analysis, and identifying gaps in the literature.

Alongside research, I tutor college-level mathematics and chemistry at the Student Learning Center as a Level III tutor. I also stay active in the academic community through honors programs, ACS-related leadership, and conference poster presentations.
