Quincy Scott
@qscott
I develop and characterize advanced materials through hands-on chemical engineering research.
What I'm looking for
I'm pursuing chemical engineering at Prairie View A&M University while building hands-on research experience in advanced materials development.
At Prairie View A&M University, I conduct solid-state synthesis of lithium tantalate for functional applications, investigating magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, and titanium dopants. I support experimental design, furnace processing, materials characterization, data analysis, and scientific documentation.
As an SROP research assistant at Michigan State University, I studied how ultrasonic vibration affects titanium deformation, microstructure, and hardness. I prepared metallographic samples, performed Vickers microhardness testing, analyzed results, and presented my findings in a scientific poster.
I'm especially interested in materials science, advanced manufacturing, functional ceramics, energy materials, acoustoplasticity, and sustainable materials. I also build robotics projects, including a drone, robotic hand, robotic arm, and a racing robotic car.
