Served as a research associate in teaching lab chemistry and biochemistry by designing and setting experiments and operating instruments for undergraduate students. Assisted professors with instruction and testing, including repairing chemicals and issuing materials and equipment.

Supported professors in instruction and testing activities by preparing buffers and issuing chemicals, regents, glassware, and lab instruments for undergraduate students. Mentored students on equipment use and tested, adjusted, calibrated, and maintained apparatus including UV-Vis, fluorescence, FT-IR, NMR, HPLC, oscilloscopes, and pH meters.

Prepared chemicals and issued lab materials and equipment for student use, including monitoring loan records. Maintained safe, clean stock rooms and laboratories, performed test/adjust/minor repairs, and supported preliminary lab budget estimating and expenditure monitoring.

Used automated liquid-handling systems to prepare assay plates for project screening and inventory control across multiple plate formats. Distributed APIs and newly synthesized compounds, maintained a synthetic compound library database, and supported research teams across locations.

Supported the professor in instruction and testing activities for undergraduate laboratory courses, including preparing and issuing lab materials and equipment.

Designed and set experiments and operated laboratory instruments to detect minute amounts of explosives and dangerous organic compounds on surfaces such as human skin, cardboard, and luggage handles. Used mass spectrometry and ion mobility spectrometry for trace detection.

Earned a BS in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, completed in 2014.

Completed a Pharmacist program at Ho Chi Minh City of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1997.
