Michael Juker
@michaeljuker
I've built high-growth sales, operations, and monetization functions across complex markets.
What I'm looking for
I have spent most of my career building and scaling revenue-producing operations across technology, marketplaces, healthcare, and electrical services. I am at my best in growing or changing environments where I can use data to understand a problem, build a practical operating plan, and lead a team toward measurable results.
I joined Uber during its early growth stage and spent six years helping scale its Southern California operation. I built and led the driver acquisition and activation function, growing the organization to more than 50 employees. Our work accounted for approximately 40% of active drivers across the region, and we developed a performance-management approach that converted 98% of newly activated drivers into multi-trip drivers. I also managed a $3.5 million operating budget while improving productivity and reducing costs by 25% year over year.
At Bigo Technologies, I built a framework for acquiring, activating, and developing broadcasters across a large creator marketplace. I led the account management team responsible for engagement, retention, and monetization, contributing to a 150% increase in daily active broadcasters and 350% year-over-year revenue growth. I also managed a monthly program budget of approximately $1 million.
I later joined STERIS Endoscopy, where I managed a complex territory covering more than 25 hospital systems. I achieved 124% of quota, was named the 2023 Rookie of the Year, and built trusted relationships with physicians, administrators, and clinical stakeholders.
Most recently, I joined an early-stage electrical services company as its first dedicated sales leader. I built the sales function from the ground up, including customer targeting, outbound strategy, qualification, and pipeline management. I generated more than $1 million in recurring and awarded business, with projects ranging from $20,000 to $600,000.
As a leader, I am a hands-on player-coach who sets clear expectations, stays close to the work, and uses performance data and individualized coaching to help teams improve. For my next opportunity, I am interested in a leadership role where I can own meaningful business outcomes across growth, sales, operations, and team development. I am particularly drawn to marketplaces, technology-enabled services, healthcare, and other businesses going through growth or transformation.
