Melinda Mestas
@melindamestas
I lead behavioral health operations while supporting patient care and clinical workflows.
What I'm looking for
I'm currently a Behavioral Health Administrative Supervisor at Opsam Health, where I help ensure patient screenings, follow-ups, education, and referrals meet organizational policies and protocols.
I train behavioral health front-desk staff and medical assistants, support interviewing and performance processes, approve payroll, manage supplies and equipment, and update therapy provider caseloads. I also float as a Medical Assistant when needed.
Previously at Opsam Health, I coordinated patient care, worked with Medi-Cal health plans on higher-level-of-care referrals, scheduled behavioral health providers, and supported psychiatry patients with screenings, vital signs, medication refills, and prior authorizations.
My clinical experience includes urgent care procedures such as blood draws, injections, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, rapid COVID-19 testing, insurance verification, and patient registration. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish and committed to respectful, organized patient support.
