@mayuser1
Computational biological imaging and data scientist specializing in multi-omics and single-cell translational research.
What I'm looking for
I am a Computational Biological Imaging and Data Scientist with nine years of experience in multi-omics, single-cell analysis, and biological imaging, focused on translating genomic variants to imaging-derived biomarkers for autoimmune and neurodegenerative diseases. I have led large-scale CITE-seq and multi-omics projects, developed AI-enhanced pipelines for scRNA-seq/CITE-seq/TCR/BCR, and built R and Python workflows for MPRA and spatial transcriptomics to accelerate variant interpretation and target identification.
I collaborate cross-functionally with CRISPR teams, pathologists, and translational groups to enable patient stratification and validate biomarkers, contributing to pre-clinical pipelines and Phase I trials. My technical toolkit includes Python, R, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Scanpy, scVI, AWS, Docker, and domain tools such as Cell Ranger, MPRA, GWAS, and eQTL analyses.

Senior Scientist II
AbbVie
Aug 2023 - Present (2 years 2 months)
Led translational ML and computational immunology projects using large-scale CITE-seq and multi-omics (over 3M cells) to identify novel drug biomarkers and patient stratification signatures, accelerating pre-clinical pipelines for autoimmune indications.
Data Scientist II
Eisai
Jun 2022 - Aug 2023 (1 year 2 months)
Performed bulk RNA-seq and single-cell CITE-seq analyses and multi-omics integration to elucidate target gene mechanisms and splicing biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases, contributing to Phase I clinical programs.
Led functional genomics analyses on 446 aging brains integrating snRNA-seq, WGS, and histology to identify cell-type-specific eQTLs and colocate genetic signals with neurodegenerative disease GWAS.
