Independent software development, technical upskilling and business exploration since 2019. More recently, spent approximately 18 months developing and publishing Wotsin, a commercial Kotlin Android app featuring barcode scanning, OCR and offline SQLite storage. Built Java and Python data-processing tools to migrate over 500,000 food products from MongoDB to SQLite.

Worked on an emergency task force to clear a large backlog of helpdesk calls, diagnosing and repairing problems with users' Lotus Notes client installations and applications.

Worked on bug fixes and enhancements to a number of Domino applications which used Dojo, JavaScript and JSON along with a custom software layer developed in house.

Upgraded servers from Windows 2003 and consolidated Domino applications onto fewer servers. Developed tools to scan the network and discover unused apps, and updated code for apps that could not be easily moved.

Supported existing Domino applications and developed new ones, while preparing to hand over application support to an outsourcing company. Wrote a tool to identify applications to be retired and prepared remaining apps for handover.

Migrated a Domino system to a new Oracle based system. Added a new XML interface to the Oracle system, wrote processes to clean up data in Domino prior to migration, and developed processes to move data from Domino to Oracle.

Developed a new Domino web based system for prospecting, contact management and letter generation. Created an update process to import data from a credit rating agency and rolled out the application to 300 agencies.

Migrated applications from Domino R5 to R7. Wrote tools to scan existing apps for potential issues, created a test environment, tested apps prior to upgrading, and upgraded production servers. Also developed new applications and maintained existing ones.

Managed a migration project from Domino R5 to R7. Scanned applications using Teamstudio Analyser, corrected issues, recoded workflow, developed test plans, and provided consultancy on new R7 features.

Merged two separate Domino systems after a corporate merger. Rearranged the address book structure, recertified users, wrote tools to scan apps for potential problems, and fixed and tested any issues found.

Developed a new version of a Domino web based email system used by the customer support team, including an auto archiving feature required for compliance.

Assisted in a major migration project, migrating Domino servers from Windows NT/Domino R5 to iSeries/Domino R7. Consolidated address books after a corporate merger, recertified users, and scanned, debugged, and tested apps before moving them to new servers.

Performed Domino application development, maintenance and enhancement on a number of apps for a local authority in East London.

Developed a web based Domino workflow application for Reuters that allowed news articles to be entered, translated, approved and published. The app output the published article as XML in multiple languages.

Developed a web based Domino workflow application for dealing with insurance claims. The application was a front end to the main system, allowing customer sites to deal with insurance claims directly. Wrote data transfer processes to the mainframe back end.

Developed a web based project management system using Domino. The role was customer facing and full life cycle from analysis to implementation.

Assisted in development of a Lotus Notes online product catalog prior to widespread use of Internet. Catalog was available via a Notes server and the sales force dialed into the server and replicated the catalog on their laptop computers.

Upgraded Netware LAN from Novell Netware 2.15 to 3.11. Provided network and PC support.
