Training Manager designing cross-cultural education programs and learning curricula for volunteer impact.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Training Manager with the U.S. Peace Corps, focused on building training systems that equip educators and volunteers to deliver high-quality learning in South Africa. I lead training design, evaluation, and facilitation end-to-end—always aligning delivery with agency requirements and real trainee needs.
In my current role, I develop and maintain a comprehensive Language, Medical, Safety and Security, Technical Sector, and Global Core curriculum, ensuring it reflects Invitee/Trainee/Volunteer training needs across the 34-month training continuum. I oversee the LearningSpace and other digital learning tools, apply participatory pedagogies, and integrate Diversity, Equity, Safety, and Language throughout the entire training journey.
Before that, as an Education Training Specialist, I developed and adapted data collection tools to capture achievements and lessons learned, and designed a teacher training continuum so volunteer teachers could implement core project activities. I conducted site visits, reviewed quarterly reports with high-quality feedback, and supported training design and Training of Trainers workshops for Education teams.
Earlier, I supported education programs through the U.S. Embassy’s Regional English Language Office and served as a teacher and occasional district moderator within the Department of Education. With a strong academic foundation (MPhil in Business Management: Development Practice; Honours in Education Management, Law and Policy), I bring structured curriculum thinking, stakeholder partnership strength, and coaching skills that help educators grow in context.
