Perform complete ophthalmic exams including refracting for eyeglass prescriptions, measuring intraocular pressure (IOP), checking for narrow angles, and dilating patients. Order imaging and assist with patient care under clinical protocols.

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assist in diagnostic testing. Prepare patients for ophthalmic procedures, administer ocular medications under physician guidance, and maintain accurate EMR documentation while following HIPAA and infection control requirements.

Fabricate and assemble prescription eyeglasses with precision, operating optical lab equipment for shaping, heating, tinting, and edging. Perform quality control inspections, calibrate equipment, and follow lab safety protocols.

Generate accurate eyeglass prescriptions (Rx) from optical specifications and job requirements. Operate lens edgers and polishers, perform lens spotting/blocking and mounting, and complete final eyewear inspections.

Measure pupillary distance (PD) and determine optical centers to support lens alignment. Prepare work orders, educate patients on contact lens care, recommend lenses/coatings/frames, and perform eyeglass adjustments and frame repairs.

Greet patients and guests, collect and verify insurance information, and support appointment-related documentation. Maintain hard copy and electronic medical records using PointClickCare (PCC), process payments, and assist with patient inquiries while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Provide customer service by recommending eyewear frames and lenses based on facial features, prescriptions, and preferences. Measure PD and optical centers, fit and adjust eyewear, instruct patients on contact lens care, and maintain prescription/payment/work order records while supporting inventory control and appointment scheduling.

Handle daily banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and fund transfers. Assist customers with account inquiries, manage cash drawer and vault balances with reconciliation, process night deposits and checks, and maintain transaction records in compliance with internal policies.

Oversee daily store operations including staff supervision, customer service, and register reconciliation. Manage inventory, handle incoming merchandise shipments, address customer concerns, and lead discount/coupon and credit-line promotions to drive sales.

Process customer transactions by scanning merchandise and handling payments while keeping the checkout area clean and organized. Redeem coupons/discounts, verify pricing, manage returns and restocking, and assist with store credit applications.
