Kellen Leigh
@kellenleigh
Mechanical engineer and project/process engineer focused on practical design, fabrication, and production optimization.
What I'm looking for
I’m a mechanical engineer with a B.S. who’s been building hands-on mechanical design, fabrication, and production engineering experience through academic projects, internships, and a contract role. I take serious ownership of my work and I’m energized by technically challenging roles where I can keep growing as both a professional and an engineer.
In my current Project and Process Engineer (Contract) role at Lundberg Family Farms, I led day-to-day execution of a large capital project—from groundbreaking through dry startup—coordinating across OEM vendors, contractors, and internal teams. I also served as the primary field coordinator, adapting designs to resolve field variances in real time to optimize line performance under a tight schedule.
Across my internships and projects, I designed and implemented 3D-printed components, analyzed energy and raw material usage to identify root causes, and authored controlled drawing standards while developing AutoCAD drawing templates. I’ve also led mechanical design work using SolidWorks and FEA sim, fabricated components with TIG welding and machining, and supported continuous improvement through work-instruction review and training presentations.
