Abigail Wyatt
@abigailwyatt
Mechanical engineer focused on manufacturing and design engineering, and open to exploring other technical opportunities in manufacturing.
What I'm looking for
I am a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in manufacturing, design, and quality systems, driven to build a meaningful career in industry. I focus on project management, design execution, and clear verbal and written communication to deliver reliable engineering outcomes.
During internships and co-ops I contributed to tooling research, ERP foundation implementation, quality tracking, and trained shop personnel on improved processes. I have practical machining experience and maintained lab equipment while mentoring students in manufacturing technologies.
At HMH I worked on subsea hydraulic controls and applied API, ASME, and internal standards to ensure compliance in product design and welding. I developed test procedures, supervised high-pressure and high-temperature tests, and produced technical and customer-facing documentation.
I collaborate well with cross-functional teams, participate in change control processes using Windchill, and have led team efforts in a university design project for the United States Air Force focused on material handling equipment.
