I’m a Software Development Engineer (SDE) Intern focused on building production-grade systems with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and measurable performance improvements. At Evernorth Health Services (Cigna Health), I refactored a sequential file-processing pipeline into an event-driven architecture using Python, AWS (Lambda, SQS, S3), and Kafka, reducing end-to-end latency by 40%.

I also engineered an automated Spring Boot microservice using MongoDB and scheduled batch processing to detect and route unmatched medical file onboarding cases. To harden reliability, I implemented idempotent processing with ShedLock, notification state tracking, and strict HTTP response validation to prevent duplicate alerts and ensure consistent execution.

Beyond day-to-day delivery, I built an OpenSearch disaster recovery system for 30+ indexes (120GB+) and automated restoration from hours to 2 minutes using Python REST utilities and S3-on-demand scripts. I’ve complemented this with systems work in my projects—distributed ride matching with Java/Spring Boot, Redis Geo, and Kafka—and a full-stack campus hiring platform using React, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, TailwindCSS, and Cloudinary.
