Julia Owens

I’m a senior living professional with 4+ years of senior living experience and CDP certification, focused on enhancing the overall resident experience through meaningful programming. I build programs that support well-being, socialization, and quality of life—always grounded in resident needs and care plans.

As Life Enrichment Director at Danbury Senior Living (April 2024–Present), I direct programming for IL, AL and MC residents and support resident well-being. I lead and supervise my team—including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management—while managing department budgets and allocating resources to maximize engagement with fiscal responsibility.

Previously, I served as Activities Director at Village of the Falls (September 2023–April 2024), planning and implementing activities for SNF and ALF residents. I developed and maintained the monthly activities calendar in accordance with resident needs, care plans, and state regulations, and coordinated closely with nursing and therapy staff to align programming with clinical goals and resident abilities.

Earlier, as Life Enrichment Manager at Sunrise Senior Living (May 2021–August 2022), I planned, led, and documented meaningful group and individual activities for memory care residents. I also worked as an Activities Assistant at The Woods on French Creek (September 2020–April 2021), leading and documenting activities for skilled nursing and long term care residents—experiences that strengthened my ability to communicate with care teams and maintain accurate documentation.
