Joshawn Deacon

I am an energetic and ambitious IT professional with practical experience in education and retail technology roles. I completed an Associate Degree in Information Technology and have participated in apprenticeship and internship programs that developed my technical and customer-service abilities.

As an Information Technology teaching assistant through the Representative Apprenticeship Program, I supported classroom instruction and helped students engage with IT concepts. In a retail internship at Smart-box I handled sales of electronics and operated printers, gaining real-world experience with hardware and customer interactions.

I have managed bookroom operations at Knox College, organizing and distributing learning materials, and have worked in a part-time game shop role handling sales and game operations. These roles strengthened my communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

I am currently pursuing a cisco certificate in networking, though, I am proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, and I am motivated to contribute to a dynamic organization where I can continue developing technical skills, support students or customers, and add measurable value.
