I’m an Information Technology Engineer with hands-on experience deploying network monitoring infrastructure (Zabbix, SNMP, Python) and working directly in clinical laboratory environments through professional practice at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS).

In my Network & IT Infrastructure Engineer experience, I designed and deployed a centralized Network Management System (NMS) using Zabbix 7.0 on an HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen9 server, proactively monitoring approximately 500 network nodes in a hospital-critical environment. I also automated bulk registration and provisioning of network devices by consuming the Zabbix REST API with Python (Pandas, Requests), processing Excel-based inventories to create hosts, assign templates, and configure SNMP interfaces.

I configured SNMPv2c monitoring (MIB-II) to track bandwidth, latency, CPU utilization, and hardware temperature using the FCAPS framework. I built a custom JavaScript webhook integrated with the Telegram Bot API to dispatch real-time automated alerts, including a temporal hysteresis algorithm to reduce false positives from network micro-outages.

Beyond monitoring, I handled physical-layer corrective maintenance under ANSI/TIA-568-B and TIA-606-B standards, and I provisioned RAID 5 storage via an HPE Smart Array controller while optimizing MariaDB (InnoDB) for high-concurrency telemetry ingestion. My thesis focused on implementing a Zabbix-based monitoring system and network node adequacy for IMSS telecommunications infrastructure.
