Jaswanth Gummadi
@jaswanthgummadi
I build cloud-native storage platforms powering enterprise Kubernetes and AI infrastructure.
What I'm looking for
At VMware, I led Cloud Native Storage (CNS), the persistent storage control plane for VMware Cloud Foundation, scaling it to 2,000+ enterprise customers and 2–3x year-over-year persistent-volume growth.
I launched CNS 1.0 and vSAN Data Persistence Platform 1.0, enabling Kubernetes-native partner services such as MinIO and Cloudian within vSphere. I also delivered the persistent storage layer for VMware Private AI Foundation, supporting NVIDIA GPU-driven AI workloads across deep-learning VMs and Kubernetes clusters.
I built and led a 25-person engineering organization from IC through Staff, promoted engineers into Staff Engineer and Tech Lead roles, and owned roadmap, headcount, org design, and cross-functional execution.
Earlier, I transformed CNS reliability from roughly 70% to 99.99% through service ownership, observability, on-call practices, and Calatrava, an internal Kubernetes platform environment. My background spans enterprise storage automation at EMC, Java applications for Idaho state government, and storage engineering across vSphere, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud ecosystems.
