For 20 years I was a Technical Manager at Apple, leading organizations of up to 20 people across CI/CD, manufacturing data, returns and fraud analytics. My teams' CI/CD work spanned 2,000+ build nodes, raised reliability from ~92% to 99% and cut rollbacks by 85%. Our fraud analytics eliminated more than $20M in annual exposure, and the returns platform brought cycle-time outliers down from 20% of RMAs to under 5%.
In 2026 I founded Functional Development, where I design, build and ship products myself. Matinee is a movie discovery and recommendation platform that gamifies deciding what to watch. X-Edit Photo is a native Swift MacOS photo editor that sits between the slow simplicity of Photos and the overwrought complexity of Adobe Lightroom.
I take products from idea to production, and I lead the people building them.
