I’m a JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and Scribe, and I bring a strong training mindset to every patient work-up. At Tyson Eye, I perform complete work ups with a focus on thorough chief complaints, testing VA, chair skills, refraction and refinement, tonometry (Goldmann applanation, tono pen, rebound tonometry, and NCT), and instilling drops, while supporting both OD’s and MD’s across cataract, glaucoma, cornea, and retina.

I also build capability in others—since January 2020, I’ve trained new OA’s and developed personalized training plans for experienced techs, continually observing and reporting on 20–25 technicians. Previously, at Eye Centers of Florida, I started with no prior training, became certified within a year, and became the trainer 6 months later; I created 4-week and 2-week training plans, produced interactive learning tools, and built learning books to support department needs.
