Motivated Biology graduate seeking a Genetic Counselor Assistant position.
What I'm looking for
I am a motivated Biology graduate with a minor in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana. My academic journey has equipped me with strong molecular biology skills and a keen attention to detail, which I am eager to apply in a Genetic Counselor Assistant role. I have hands-on experience in PCR testing and gene expression analysis, having participated in a faculty-led research project where I conducted DNA extraction and PCR amplification. This experience has honed my ability to maintain clean lab conditions and ensure the integrity of samples.
In addition to my research experience, I have developed strong communication skills through my role as a tutor for youth in STEM subjects. I have a passion for helping others understand complex topics and providing support to those dealing with personal challenges. My entrepreneurial spirit is reflected in my small business as a hair braider, where I have demonstrated self-motivation, scheduling, and client communication skills. I am excited to bring my diverse experiences and dedication to a position that supports genetic testing workflows and client interactions.
