What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a senior platform or backend role to design scalable Node.js/TypeScript microservices on AWS, modernise legacy systems, improve CI/CD and observability, mentor engineers, and deliver reliable services at scale.

I am a Senior Platform Engineer with 10 years' experience building scalable Node.js and TypeScript microservices on AWS, specialising in REST APIs and event-driven architectures.

At Airtime I lead development of a TypeScript-based microservice architecture and am architecting an AWS CDK framework that reduced service delivery from months to days; I also maintain and strangulate legacy Symfony/PHP systems while enforcing reliability and testing best practices.

Previously I improved cross-datacenter scalability at Gamma using Kafka and Redis, implemented robust CI/CD pipelines, and at Cheshire Datasystems I progressed from junior to senior, building React/Node customer portals and mentoring junior engineers to raise team standards.
