@jacquelynnehudson-un
Accessibility-focused digital production manager and web developer building WCAG 2.1-compliant EPUBs and inclusive UX.
What I'm looking for
I’m an accessibility-focused web developer and digital production leader with a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and inclusive design practices. I specialize in identifying and resolving WCAG 2.1 issues through usability-first decisions, standards compliance, and maintainable code.
As Senior Manager, Digital Production at Hachette Book Group, I develop reusable CSS and standardized Adobe InDesign styles to streamline EPUB production and strengthen accessibility compliance across imprints. I design and implement WCAG 2.1-aligned accessibility workflows—semantic markup, alt text standards, and screen reader support—while authoring accessibility-informed templates and EPUB style guides.
I also bring execution depth from managing full production cycles, collaborating with vendors and internal teams, and supervising staff and freelancers to maintain consistent EPUB outputs. In earlier roles, I served as an internal consultant for digital standards and accessibility during development and trained teams using HTML/CSS for digital book production.
Alongside production work, I build and refine accessible EPUB projects using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop for design, then HTML + CSS for development—ensuring text, images, lists, links, asides, and tables align with WCAG 2.1 level AA. I keep growing through credentials including Google UX Design Professional Certification, Certified Professionals in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), DHS Trusted Tester for Web on Windows, and Full Stack Developer completion.
