I direct NASA's agency-wide human factors certification program, developing courses and adding 60+ certified investigators to the mishap cadre. I also verify human factors coding across 110+ mishap and close-call cases annually for NASA's Annual Human Factors Report.
I've served as the human factors expert for NASA Mishap Investigation Boards, gathering evidence, interviewing personnel, coding findings with NASAHFACS, and writing official reports. I co-lead NASA's Human Factors Task Force, edit the quarterly Human Factors Newsletter, and contribute to the Human Factors Handbook.
Before NASA, I counseled students and families at Grand Canyon University and handled high-volume bilingual intake and eligibility work. I bring a Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology, research experience in accident investigations, and fluent English and Spanish communication.
