Flexibility, new responsibilities, team work

Ilaria Viglino
@ilariaviglino
I research analytic number theory, teach mathematics at EPFL, and organize international research conferences.
What I'm looking for
I'm a scientific collaborator and postdoctoral researcher at EPFL, where I also lecture and coordinate Discrete Mathematics. My research focuses on analytic number theory, arithmetic statistics, Galois extensions, and number fields.
I've published work in the Journal of Number Theory and Pure and Applied Mathematics Journal, including research on integer polynomials, class group torsion, and least common multiples over number fields. I have also contributed a chapter on an average version of the Chebotarev Density Theorem.
At EPFL and ETH Zürich, I've taught and coordinated courses spanning Riemann Surfaces, Algebra, Linear Algebra, Topology, Complex Analysis, and Probabilistic Number Theory. I supervise bachelor’s and master’s theses and have supported PhD students in my research group.
I co-organize the MTEI Research Seminars and international conferences in combinatorial geometry, number theory, and random geometry. I've been an invited speaker at number theory seminars and conferences across Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, and I review mathematical research publications.
