Huda Farhat

I’m a Program Officer & Community Advocate with 7+ years in education, protection, and youth programming across Lebanon, supporting humanitarian and development initiatives with UNICEF and NGOs. I combine program management and field implementation with a technical foundation in Computer Science, bringing strategic thinking, empathy, and strong contextual knowledge to every project.

At UNICEF, I supported programs across Education, Child Protection, Youth and Adolescents in the Central and South Field Office, working closely with partners to strengthen partner accountability and improve implementation. I conducted regular field visits and monitoring, contributed to data collection and analysis for Situation Analyses and reporting, and supported logistics and inventory tracking at the field level.

I also played an integral role in emergency responses—including the Beirut Blast, COVID-19, Cholera, and Measles outbreaks—supporting field coordination and community engagement (RCCE). I supported rapid response to the South Cross-Border Emergency, coordinating between field offices, UNICEF sectors, and implementing partners to ensure timely mobilization and geographical coverage.

Most recently, I coordinated livelihoods and protection programming for crisis-affected women and girls in Tyre through comprehensive services in partnership with UN Women, overseeing day-to-day operations, work plans, budgeting, reporting, staff supervision, and risk mitigation. I’m driven by the same goal throughout my career: turning field evidence into practical solutions that protect and empower vulnerable people.
