About Norwegian Refugee Council
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organisation dedicated to helping people forced to flee their homes due to crises. Our mission is deeply rooted in a commitment to advocate for the rights of displaced individuals and assist them in rebuilding their lives. We operate in various conflict zones and areas affected by disasters across 40 countries, implementing actionable solutions to address the pressing needs of millions.
Our foundation was laid in the aftermath of World War II, and since then, we have expanded our focus to include vital areas such as food security, education, shelter, legal assistance, protection from violence, and water, sanitation, and hygiene. Each year, we touch the lives of nearly 10 million people worldwide. For us, protecting and supporting the most vulnerable communities is paramount. We work tirelessly to ensure that our interventions are impactful and aligned with their evolving needs.
