Hugo Lacauste

I am a young french Data Scientist.
I started by studying pure mathematics at Université de Bordeaux and started as a mathematics teacher for two years. After this experience, I went back to studying statistics, probability, and computer science to aim for a Data Scientist career and apply mathematics to real-life problems. With the blast of machine learning and data-informed decision-making, I got hooked on the career and since then I never regretted my choice.

I had the chance to work in a very early start-up right after my studies, which bet a lot on machine learning and in which a lot needed to be done, I was rapidly in charge of various aspects of the tool and I had to learn a lot of different skills.

Then, I joined Ubisoft a game company that is very focused on technical aspects, and state-of-the-art products. It allows me to grow and answer high technical requirements with quality code, and standardized processes.
