At Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s Institute of Climate Change, I research coral reefs, symbiotic organisms, ecology, and climate change. My work on Symbiodiniaceae diversity in Palythoa tuberculosa has been published in Coral Reefs, Marine Ecology Progress Series, and other marine-science journals.
I combine coral reef surveys, ecological statistics, molecular taxonomy, GIS, and R-based data analysis to investigate reef health, biodiversity, and environmental change. I also contribute as a data associate for the Global Coral Reef Monitoring Network and as a scientific and data advisor for WWF Malaysia.
