Heikki Doeleman
@heikkidoeleman
Java Architect and Tech Lead with 20+ years designing scalable enterprise systems.
What I'm looking for
I am a seasoned Java Architect, Tech Lead and Software Engineer with over 20 years of experience designing and implementing robust Java applications and solution architectures across aerospace, finance, genetics, GIS, telecom and travel. I lead technical teams, drive migrations and modernisations (for example Java 1.8 to Java 21, microservices and OpenShift), and deliver scalable systems such as 12 Spring Boot microservices integrated into enterprise SAP workflows.
I have hands-on experience across backend and frontend stacks, cloud/container tooling and databases, and I focus on pragmatic, low-risk migrations (Canary releases, Strangler Fig), developer coaching, process improvement and delivering production-grade software. My work includes leading teams onsite and offshore, defining standards, and building searchable, linked-data and high-throughput systems that improve business workflows and developer productivity.
