What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a remote customer service role where I can apply my troubleshooting mindset and calm, solutions-focused communication. I want to manage time-sensitive escalations, respond to alerts and incidents, and build trust with clients in fast-paced, remote-first environments.

I’m a customer service and technical support professional with 5+ years of experience monitoring critical infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and liaising directly with clients and contractors across Southern Africa. I’m detail-oriented and solutions-focused, and I’ve built a reputation for responding to alerts and incidents under pressure while communicating clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

In my current role as a Design Engineer (Distributed Power Africa — Southern Africa | Remote / Regional), I act as a primary technical liaison between clients, EPC contractors, and internal teams, translating client needs into workable technical solutions and keeping all parties aligned through regular communication. I respond promptly to client and contractor queries, manage expectations around timelines, costs, and technical requirements, and prepare clear, accurate proposals and documentation designed to be easy to understand across audiences. I also handle multiple concurrent client projects, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines without compromising quality or communication.

Previously, as a Network Operations Technician (Power Tower Unit / DPA) with Econet / Distributed Power Africa in Zimbabwe, I monitored live infrastructure dashboards and responded immediately to alerts and incidents to minimise downtime—directly analogous to supporting customer queues and SLAs. I diagnosed and resolved technical issues efficiently, escalated appropriately when needed, and kept stakeholders informed throughout, while tracking recurring issues and performance trends to proactively prevent future problems. Earlier, as an Energy Management & Efficiency Intern at Manica Boards and Doors, I gathered and analysed performance data and communicated it to management through reports and charts, strengthening my data-to-action communication and cross-functional support.
