What I'm looking for

I'm looking to lead and support reliable submarine cable, optical transport, and NOC operations, with opportunities to improve restoration performance, coordinate global vendors and consortiums, and deliver high-availability carrier services.

At Telkom Kenya, I lead 24×7 Cable Landing Station operations and NOC shifts supporting mission-critical international carrier services.

I operate and maintain CIENA and SubCom SLTE/PFE equipment while supporting TEAMS, EASSy, LION2, DARE-1, PEACE and 2Africa submarine cable systems. I monitor optical transmission performance, isolate faults, restore services, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.

I've coordinated international vendor escalations and consortium maintenance activities, supported commissioning and upgrades, and produced SLA reports, KPI dashboards and executive operational reports.

Across more than 14 years in telecommunications, I've maintained 99.999% service availability, reduced MTTR through incident management, and led mission-critical submarine cable restoration activities.
