I’m a Senior Writing Consultant, educator, and instructional designer with more than 10 years of experience supporting undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral writers in online and in-person environments. For Indiana University’s Online Writing Center, I’m one of a select group of consultants who regularly support graduate-level writers through high-stakes work like master’s theses, capstone projects, and doctoral dissertation chapters.
My strengths are academic research writing and scholarly communication, paired with developmental feedback that builds writers’ long-term confidence. I help students across the full writing process—from brainstorming and thesis development to organization, revision, evidence integration, and final polishing.
I provide specialized support for citation and research synthesis, with expertise in APA 7, MLA, and Chicago citation styles (as well as CBE). I also create instructional resources, citation guides, and writing handouts, then design and facilitate writing workshops and APA-focused presentations for diverse student populations.
Alongside my writing center work, I bring instructional design experience to build writing-intensive learning experiences for adult learners using evidence-based practices. I’ve supported multilingual, first-generation, adult, returning, and nontraditional students, and I’ve shared my work through presentations such as “Working with Non-Traditional Students in an Asynchronous Online Writing Center Environment.”
