At news.net, I was the sole engineer across application architecture, PHP and WordPress development, AWS, DevOps, and production support for a distributed news platform serving 100,000+ sites and millions of monthly readers. I operated and optimised its AWS infrastructure, solved scaling bottlenecks, and delivered a production media migration of approximately 5.6 TB.
As an independent engineering consultant, I design, develop, and maintain production web and mobile applications. I completed a 173,000-line Aurelia 1 to Aurelia 2 migration and developed a custom CSS dependency traversal system that reduced uncompressed CSS by 97.4%.
At iaAnyware, I led frontend technical direction for insurance products and helped replace a decade-old .NET desktop system with an Aurelia and TypeScript web platform. I also designed automated testing across unit, integration, and Playwright end-to-end tests for business-critical workflows.
With the Aurelia open-source project, I progressed from documentation contributor to core framework engineer and project lead, contributing to framework internals, migration tooling, and developer experience. I’ve also authored programming books, including The Aurelia 2 Book and Rust for Javascript Developers.
