As a software engineer at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, I’ve served as a technical and project lead for creating 20+ HIPAA-compliant healthcare public sites and Identity and Access Management applications within Agile Scrum. I spearheaded a team of 5 engineers to deliver 20+ sites and IAM capabilities using NodeJS, CI/CD pipelines, TypeScript, and Tailwind.

I’ve also worked directly on security outcomes, partnering with system architecture and security engineers to strengthen system security protocols and reduce vulnerabilities by 40%. On releases, I directed project and sprint deliverables with DevSecOps, SQA, and business partners, supporting zero-defect releases for over 85% of projects completed within the fiscal year.

To keep teams aligned with real performance, I integrated custom Google Analytics hooks across IAM processes and 20+ websites to support unit testing, client reporting, and incident management—while using a NodeJS data-loss prevention approach to protect PHI integrity. Earlier roles included leading web development and SEO-optimized content creation, mentoring and training, and serving as an IT manager supporting secure web and workstation operations.
