I'm open to remote, hybrid, or onsite opportunities where I can build and modernize scalable Java platforms, lead technical design, mentor engineers, and deliver AI-enabled product capabilities.

I've built distributed backend platforms for Momentum Metropolitan, Verizon, Mastercard, ABSA Bank, and GotPrint, taking products and core services from design through production.

At Momentum Metropolitan, I owned Order Management, Flexicover, Claims, and Product Management services while driving Java EE-to-Spring Boot modernization, Java 8-to-21 migration, and event-driven Kafka workflows. I also built multi-tenant platform capabilities for eight internal products and LLM-backed features using Spring AI, AWS Bedrock, RAG, and pgvector.

For Verizon, I led the move from Spring Boot services to reactive Spring Webflux architecture to address peak-load scalability in a retail POS platform used across thousands of US stores. At Mastercard, I built Kafka-driven platforms for card-blocking security operations and high-volume transaction-file processing.

I've also delivered USSD retail banking services for ABSA, helped move GotPrint's 10,000-orders-per-day platform from a monolith to microservices, and built an AI/ML product from scratch. I enjoy hands-on architecture, technical leadership, mentoring, and shipping resilient systems with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS, and modern AI tooling.
