I’m looking to build cloud-native Java backends in regulated fintech—owning design to production, delivering low-latency payment systems, and using Kafka, observability, and secure patterns while mentoring teams in agile environments.

I’m a Senior Java Engineer with 8+ years architecting and delivering enterprise-grade, server-side Java backends for regulated financial systems, payments, and banking. I specialize in Spring Boot microservices, event-driven architectures, and large-scale monolith-to-microservice modernisation, with deep proficiency across Java 8/11/17/21 and the Spring ecosystem.

In my recent work in payments and integration, I’ve designed high-throughput, low-latency pipelines with Apache Kafka and asynchronous processing, built containerised services on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes, and strengthened production reliability through observability with Micrometer and OpenTelemetry. I also lead on security and compliance—securing public/partner APIs with OAuth2, JWT, and TLS aligned to PCI requirements—and improve performance using Redis/Caffeine caching; I’ve even helped accelerate delivery with AI-assisted workflows (GitHub Copilot, Claude) embedded into IDE and code-review pipelines.
