David Peterson
@davidpeterson2
Operations and event planning professional who builds precise, donor-ready experiences for mission-driven leaders.
What I'm looking for
I’m an operations and development-support professional with an extensive record of planning and producing high-caliber events and conferences for world-class, mission-driven institutions. I partner closely with development and communications teams, orchestrating logistics, timelines, and budgets with precision while making sure senior leaders, trustees, donors, and guests feel genuinely well cared for.
In my current role as an Operations Manager, I lead day-to-day operations, support scheduling and workflow, and build custom digital systems and tools to make administration faster, cleaner, and more reliable. Earlier, I managed showroom operations and end-to-end customer ordering processes, and I planned conferences and donor-facing initiatives while supporting executive leadership, budgeting, reconciliations, audits, and supplier/vendor coordination—skills I’ve also applied at The Brookings Institution, including CRM upkeep in Raiser’s Edge and coordination for complex, high-level convenings.
