Daniel Weaver
@danielweaver
Entry-level meteorologist focused on weather forecasting and compelling public delivery.
What I'm looking for
I’m a B.S. Meteorology and Atmospheric Science student (Minor in Climatology, Graphic Information Systems) at The Pennsylvania State University, earning Dean’s List recognition and a role in the Chi Epsilon Pi Meteorology Honors Society. I combine atmospheric science fundamentals with GIS and weather storytelling to make forecasts both accurate and understandable.
I’ve built hands-on forecasting experience through remote internships where I analyzed snow events and created snowfall map outputs, updated daily forecasts, and issued hazardous weather warnings for RVers. I also produced broadcast-ready forecast graphics in WSI Max and supported TV meteorologists during a WFMZ summer internship.
Beyond forecasting, I support communication and engagement—researching and producing a forensic weather report for legal use, delivering TV-style forecasts for C-NET local access channel 2, and running a TikTok weather page with daily short reels and severe-weather livestreams. I’m energized by opportunities that blend forecasting, data visualization, and clear public communication.
