Danielle MacCartney

Redefined the purpose of the work therapy program, aligning it with the recovery model and coaching nine department supervisors. Coached 36 participants, developed new placement roles, and designed a 48-session workplace-skills curriculum.

Designed and ran more than 100 goal-based annual reviews, led a biweekly development group for department chairs, and identified and prepared a successor. Led a college of 130 faculty and staff, 54 degree programs, and 4,061 students.

Created and taught Environmental Sociology among more than twenty-five courses. Published two course designs through the American Sociological Association's national teaching resource library.

Ran the campus evaluation and accreditation review, coaching faculty and staff on accreditation requirements and how to meet them without radically changing their teaching.

Mentored and coached faculty from institutions across the country on goal setting, writing productivity, time management, and career planning.

Served as Director of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Director of General Studies, Chair of Anthropology and Sociology, and Program Director and Chair of Women and Gender Studies. Developed and launched degree programs and introduced hybrid and online options.

Oversaw nine departments housing 27 undergraduate and 12 graduate programs. Designed and organized faculty professional development on teaching effectiveness, research productivity, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Taught fully online courses to adult learners.

Completed the year-long Global Leadership Academy program at Webster University.

PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, completed in 2005.

MA in Social Science from the University of California, Irvine, completed in 2001.
