Dedicated Family Support Specialist focused on youth advocacy and community service.
What I'm looking for
I am a passionate Family Support Specialist currently working with the YMCA North in Minneapolis, where I engage with families in the Stable Home, Stable School program. My role involves conducting home visits, assessing family needs, and coordinating services to ensure that each family receives the support they require. I take pride in maintaining organized client files and submitting timely reports, all while balancing a caseload of 15-25 families.
Previously, I served as a Promise Fellow with the Minnesota Alliance with Youth, where I reached out to students daily to develop and implement activities tailored to their emotional and mental needs. My advocacy for at-risk youth in the Saint Paul community has been a driving force in my career, and I have also interned with the McVay Youth Foundation, assisting students from 5th to 12th grade with their schoolwork and collaborating on educational programs.
In addition to my professional experience, I have successfully secured grants for community initiatives, including a $10,000 grant for creating a sustainable food shelf for students and families. I am committed to making a positive impact in my community through education, sustainability, and support for at-risk youth.
