I’m an RHIT-focused Clinical Language Analyst and Medical Coder with expert knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, PCS, and CPT across inpatient and outpatient settings. I bring a logical, solution-oriented approach to coding accuracy and consistency, while working independently and collaborating with diverse teams.
In my current role, I provide annotation and coding for PS360 information extraction projects. I analyze differences between CLU-engine and Coder annotations, provide corrections and feedback to software development, and conduct audits for previously completed cases—ensuring training data supports accurate extraction of critical results, actionable findings, recommendations, communications, and laterality and gender mismatches. I also contribute to guideline development and consistency in the use of SNOMED medical terminologies.
Earlier experience included medical coding for ER and a wide range of record types (inpatient, outpatient, outpatient surgery, outpatient lab, radiology, and oncology), along with Clinical Documentation Improvement work focused on completeness and accuracy.
