What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build equity-centered curriculum and programs that expand access to STEM and interdisciplinary learning for first-generation, underrepresented, and marginalized students.

At Lick-Wilmerding High School, I design and teach inquiry-based Biology, Bioinformatics, Anthropology, Music and the Brain, and Ethnic Studies curricula. As Bio Team Lead, I integrate emerging genetic research, DNA sequence alignment software, and phylogenetic analysis into core instruction.

I've spent more than 18 years teaching in secondary and post-secondary settings, including De Anza College, National Hispanic University, and Evergreen Valley College. I taught 50+ anthropology, human development, and ethnic studies sections and launched a career-focused anthropology program for first-generation students.

I also bring program and operations leadership from De Anza College's Center for Women, Genders & Sexualities and Digital Realty Trust, where I managed teams, budgets, programming, stakeholder relationships, and mission-critical infrastructure projects.

My work centers equity, cross-disciplinary STEM learning, and student belonging. I advise students and support programs such as Women in STEM, First Generation and Proud, and Women of Color in STEM.
