Steven Frazer

Designed and delivered synchronous secondary science instruction to partner-district students in a remote LMS environment. Built standards-aligned session plans and completed provider certification in virtual instructional design.

Chief elected officer of a certificated educators' association. Lead negotiator in collective bargaining, including a 2026 reopener that reached tentative agreement. Represented members in grievance and disciplinary proceedings, and wrote organization-wide communications that turned contract and policy language into clear, actionable guidance.

Designed a standards-aligned science curriculum, including an AP Biology program and a project-based NGSS biology sequence. Built assessments, rubrics, and performance tasks and used student data to drive revision. Co-chaired the department, served as liaison to the district NGSS Committee on adoption and pilots, and led faculty PD on standards, lesson design, and instructional technology.

Founding faculty for a middle school expansion at an arts-focused public charter. Designed the middle school science program from the ground up, aligned to Common Core and NGSS. Delivered faculty PD on lesson design and standards implementation, and managed the department budget, equipment inventory, and the build-out of a new chemistry lab.

Coordinated the Environmental Leaders Learning Alliance, a regional initiative serving municipal environmental commissions across five New York counties. Designed and organized six large-scale workshops for adult professionals and volunteers, and developed and delivered environmental education programming for ages 4 to 16, including after-school programs with White Plains Public Schools.

Master of Arts in Education from Claremont Graduate University, completed in 2015.

Bachelor of Science in Biology from Purchase College, State University of New York, completed in 2011. Thesis on invasiveness of plants and shrubs in New York State via hierarchical decision-making mechanisms of frugivorous birds.
