@carolesweeneymingo
Experienced therapist specializing in psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies.
What I'm looking for
With over 10 years of professional training and experience, I have developed my skills as a therapist specializing in Psychodynamic short-term Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy. My focus is on building strong therapeutic relationships with clients, guiding them towards self-reflection and positive outcomes. I am dedicated to helping individuals explore their developmental history and unconscious motivations, enabling them to live more resourcefully and achieve a better sense of wellbeing.
Currently, I work full-time as a Step 3 Counsellor and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist at Hillingdon Talking Therapies, where I assess and treat a range of emotional and mental health issues. My role involves providing high and low intensity psychological treatments, and I have recently completed supervision training to support other practitioners. I am passionate about fostering a supportive environment for clients, particularly those dealing with moderate to severe depression, and I have experience facilitating group therapy sessions for mothers experiencing Post Natal Depression.
Throughout my career, I have honed my organizational and interpersonal skills, working effectively both independently and as part of a team. I am a registered member of the BACP and have a proven track record in using IT systems to enhance patient management and care. My commitment to professional development and client-focused practice drives my work, and I continually seek to improve my therapeutic techniques to better serve my clients.
