Brian Seo

I’m a QA professional with 11+ years of experience testing software across PC, mobile, console, and web platforms. Much of my career has been spent working on major AAA projects and supporting live products with millions of players, including Starfield, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Fallout Shelter, DOOM Eternal, Rage 2, and Deathloop.

I enjoy the detail-oriented side of QA and making sure things don’t get missed. I’m particularly strong in exploratory testing, finding edge cases, reproducing difficult bugs, and investigating root causes. I also enjoy looking at software from both the developer’s and user’s perspective, with the goal of helping teams deliver a better experience.

As a QA coordinator, I was responsible for coordinating testing across assigned systems and features. I also regularly stepped in to coordinate other systems when their coordinator was out for the day or on extended leave. When the project needed someone to take on training and onboarding responsibilities, I volunteered to become a training coordinator while continuing my existing coordinator duties. I enjoy teaching others and being someone my team can rely on for consistent, thorough work.

One achievement I’m particularly proud of was helping improve our testing workflow through a proprietary beta-commenting system. It allowed testers to consolidate related issues and feedback rather than creating unnecessary individual tasks, resulting in quicker testing and less information for developers to sort through.

I’ve also been involved in identifying issues that could negatively affect the user experience or release quality. On one project, my team and I identified significant issues in a newly implemented area and determined that it wasn’t ready for the initial release, helping the team make the decision to move it to a later update. Some of the most rewarding issues I’ve worked on have required multiple testers to reproduce together, where careful coordination and persistence were necessary to uncover difficult problems.

I’m now looking to expand my career beyond gaming and broaden my technical QA skills. I’m currently learning Python and Playwright and am particularly interested in automation, AI, and product development. I’d like to continue learning additional automation tools and programming languages, with the long-term goal of becoming more technically focused and potentially working heavily in automation.

I’m interested in QA Tester, Senior QA, Software QA, QA Analyst, and Quality Engineer opportunities. I enjoy learning new technology and sharing what I learn with others. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and brainstorming ideas for a children’s book that my wife and I hope to coauthor.
