Andie Reid

I am an experienced software QA and testing professional with a strong background in functional and manual testing, requirements analysis, test planning, regression and exploratory testing, defect investigation, and test documentation. I have worked throughout the software development lifecycle in Agile environments and have collaborated closely with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and end users to improve software quality and ensure that products meet both technical and business requirements.

My experience includes working with software products in a variety of environments, including BioLab, nCino, and EasyVote. I am particularly strong at understanding how a system is supposed to work, identifying gaps and edge cases, asking the questions that uncover problems early, and translating complex requirements into thorough, practical test coverage. I also have experience establishing and improving QA processes, documenting testing, investigating defects, and training and onboarding other team members.

I enjoy the investigative side of QA. I like figuring out why something isn't working, finding the unexpected behavior that others may overlook, and working with developers and stakeholders to get problems resolved. I am detail-oriented without losing sight of the larger user and business perspective.

I am currently expanding my technical skills in test automation, with a focus on modern automation tools and practices. I am particularly interested in learning Playwright and TypeScript, API testing, CI/CD, and using AI tools to make QA work more efficient and effective. My goal is to combine my strong hands-on testing and analytical experience with increasingly modern automation and quality-engineering skills.

I am interested in remote opportunities in software QA, software testing, quality engineering, test analysis, and related roles where I can contribute immediately while continuing to grow technically.
