Bijal Sanghavi

I am a seasoned techno-functional leader with extensive experience in Enterprise Software Product development, all the way from ideation to customer success. My journey has been marked by a strong focus and commitment to user-centric design and a strong belief that customer retention is driven by demonstrable ROI.

I have built three world class software products out of India, all of which have achieved accolades by customers world wide, and have featured on the leaders quadrants of analysts like Gartner, Forrester, G2Crowd etc.

My job as a CTO, is to be a conduit between business and tech teams, to ensure the technical architecture is awesome, but also to ensure that technology is aiding business, and not coming in the way. This is a delicate balance, and few do it as well as I.

My experience has been building software products from scratch, revamping monoliths into modularised component based architecture, taking badly built, unstable products, to stability and everything in between. It has also led me to deeply understand Performance Engineering, aiming for Chaos Engineering, and deeply automating the software, for ease of revamps and rewrites.

While most of my experience is in leading Engineering and Product teams, , I have also led Project Delivery team, Customer Support teams, Customer Success teams, which gives me a deep insight into the pain customers undergo. And hence, customer centric product design and ensuring part of the product roadmap, is always based on deeply researched feedback from customer, is my forte.

None of this is possible without being able to build and lead teams, small and large, and I have built and led teams of various sizes, with highest being about 225 people. Most of teams have been cross location, cross nations.

All of the above experience, has been between 4 companies, across three domains (HR, Procurement and Marketing) where I have spent the last 25 years.

• Saba, where I did everything from building the product by hand, to leading the development of various product lines many years later. I also led QC, Project Delivery and Customer Support at Saba.

• Zycus, where I led both Engineering and Product. and we got to the top right of the Gartner magic Quadrant in a span of a few years.

• Netcore and Graas, both in marketing tech, where I revamped the entire product line, to make it much more stable, and architected it to be infinitely scalable.

  My leadership has been pivotal in transitioning teams to agile methodologies, enhancing performance engineering, and driving significant growth in a challenging market. At Zycus, I played a crucial role in elevating our products to the top right of Gartner's Magic Quadrant, demonstrating my ability to blend technology with strategic vision.
