Beatrice Muraguri
@beatricemuraguri
I lead health information, surveillance, and emergency response to strengthen public health systems.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Health Information and Public Health Specialist with over 20 years of experience leading Health Information Systems (HIS), disease surveillance, and public health program management across emergency and humanitarian settings. I drive health interventions in disease outbreaks, maternal and child health, immunization, primary health care, and prevention and control.
Across my WHO roles—including Incident Manager, Emergency Manager, and Health Cluster Coordinator—I coordinate outbreak response and operational readiness using the Incident Management System (IMS). I’ve supported 5+ health emergencies and led staffing, deployment, and safety for over 50 WHO responders, while producing After Action Reports and Improvement Plans to strengthen preparedness and recovery.
I also bring deep strengths in monitoring and evaluation, grant management, and donor compliance to ensure effective budget utilization and high-quality reporting. With GIS mapping and data visualization, plus digital health tools (Adobe Illustrator, Power BI, and KOBO) and information systems such as PHIS/HeRAMS/EWARS, I help partners make evidence-based decisions and build sustainable capacity with Ministries of Health and health cluster stakeholders.
