What I'm looking for

Fully remote product design roles across Europe, the US or Canada, contract or full-time. I like to understand the real problem before opening Figma, work closely with product and engineering, and sweat the details of the final interface. Complex or regulated domains are a plus.

Bruno Carvalho is a product designer based in Lisbon with over ten years of experience. He started in graphic design, working on brand identity, editorial and packaging, before moving into digital product. That background still shapes how he works: strong visual craft, clear hierarchy, and care for the details that make an interface feel considered.

He has worked across regulated industries, consumer brands, enterprise platforms and Web3. What keeps the work consistent is the approach, not the sector: understand the real problem first, then design with intent and deliver with craft. He works closely with product and engineering, from early flows and information architecture through to polished UI and the design systems that keep it consistent at scale.

At Protokol he worked across nine client products in four years, as lead designer on three and building the design system for every product but one. Named work includes Balloon, a Web3 community intelligence platform, aignt.fun, an AI agent platform on Solana, Provenant, an EU Digital Product Passport compliance platform, and Provion, an AI adversarial testing service. Before that he led the e-commerce redesign at Knot and worked independently with clients in pharma, construction and retail.

Independent product and brand work across pharma, construction, e-commerce and hospitality, for clients including Mérito Total, Portable Molecule, Nave Motas and Onevolve Pharma. Designed and built four of those sites in HTML, SCSS and JavaScript. Also brand, packaging and Shopify store for Slow Social Club, now at 1,800+ followers and a 4.9 rating.

Led the restructuring and redesign of the e-commerce platform, covering more than 1,000 SKUs and replacing a weak legacy system. Also designed for Clash Fragrances, a sister brand under the same ownership. Sole designer, working alongside the marketing lead. Continued on a freelance basis for several months after the full-time role ended.
